Port Augusta solar thermal plant cautiously welcomed by locals

South Australia has the highest unemployment rate in the country. It also has had some well-documented problems with energy reliability, following the closure of the main coal-fired power station at Port Augusta.

The state government has announced a $650 million solar thermal plant will be built there, creating hundreds of construction jobs.

 Reporter Leah MacLennan travelled to Port Augusta to find out what the locals think of the plan.
