| Hear their visions: Shepparton’s Beneath the Wisteria Group will host a discussion with candidates for the Victorian election in the Maude St Mall on Saturday. |
Contesting the Lower House seat and speaking on Saturday will be Suzanna Sheed, Cheryl Hammer and Peter Schwarz.
Ms Sheed is an independent and has represented the seat since being elected at the last election; Ms Hammer is standing on behalf of the Liberal Party and Mr Schwarz the Nationals Party.
All three will have 10 minutes to say who they are and why people should vote for them.
Beneath the Wisteria convenor Robert McLean hopes they will outline what they will do when elected to ensure Victoria, and the Goulburn Valley, is well prepared for the unfolding rigours of a changing climate.
Time will be allowed for a question-and-answer period after the three candidates have spoken.
Beneath the Wisteria is at the northern end of the city’s Maude St Mall. It starts at 11 am, is free and although limited public seating is available, those planning to attend should being a folding chair.
Questions about the event should be directed to Mr McLean at 0400 502 199.
