Electric driverless cars get tick of approval from adviser

Driverless, electric cars will cut congestion by 90 per cent, reduce emissions and inject $15 billion into the economy, Infrastructure Victoria has found.

Victoria should welcome the new technology, the state's lead infrastructure adviser says.

The high-tech cars would be much cheaper to run, according to a report the authority released on Thursday.
