WWF confronts climate change with its '2 Degrees Project'

Australians will gain a better understanding of climate change and had how it is affecting them through a fresh initiative from the World Wildlife Fund.

The “2 Degrees Project” want people to know just how close they are to the realities of climate change.

The effects of our changing climate are not happening to someone else, somewhere else, in another part of the world, rather the WWF points out they are already impacting on Australians.

“Some people think climate change is an issue threatening polar bears or impacting other people in other parts of the world. But scientists have found that it is happening here in Australia and it is happening now.

“Some people also think it’s too hard or too late to act. But it’s not! Australia has the solutions, the resources, skills and knowhow to solve this problem,” the WWF says.

Through connecting with the “2 Degrees Project”, the WWF says people can play a vital role in helping mitigate the impacts of climate change.
