Those of us unsettled
by the unfolding calamity that is climate change are, it seems,
fundamentally different than those who doubt and dispute the science.
A new article in Mother Jones entitled: “How do you get people to give a damn about climate change?” helps us understand that dilemma.
It explains that those who agree on many things will
disagree on one “small thing”, climate change.
It writes: “The little thing they disagrees on – whether it
actually works to tell people there’s ‘scientific consensus’ on climate change
– is a matter of huge practical significance”.
