| Summer in Victoria cooler than anticipated, but fire risk remains. |
Life has always been
hugely unpredictable, and now the complications of climate change make it even
more so.
As our planet warms because of human intervention that
Melbourne’s just ended summer would have been the scene of new heat records.
Oddly, that was not the case and so we escaped what is
traditionally the hottest time of the year without venturing into that record
territory.
Today’s Melbourne Age
reports that summer has ended without a single 40-degree plus day.
Read about this in the story headed: “Summer ends in Melbourne without a 40-degree day, but bushfire risk remains across most of Victoria”.
