Australia lumbers in the dust while others surge ahead

ustralia lumbers about in the dust while other nations have already made clear their climate targets to be discussed in Paris later this year.

So it seems that while many other countries, among them the USA and Eurpoe, have busied themselves formulating their post 2020 climate deals, Australia has simply been searching about for excuses.

A story on The Conversation says: “Australia is currently seeking submissions on a post-2020 climate target, with a formal announcement expected by mid-2015. However a discussion paper released on Saturday suggests that Australia is looking for excuses to free-ride on the efforts of other nations.”
