A storm over Adelaide Oval. Severe thunderstorms could bring flash flooding to SA, Victoria and NSW. |
The storms are likely to hit SA first, as a low-pressure
system extends from the north-west. Severe thunderstorms are then expected to
spread through most of state into the evening.
“We could see flash flooding with thunderstorms through SA
this evening, and also with the rain as it spreads across Victoria and then
again into NSW,” said a Bureau of Meteorology extreme weather meteorologist,
Phil King.
King said tropical moisture was bringing the higher falls,
which could easily top 50mm as storms pass through SA and NSW.
