Food security suffers as climate change bites


Food security will become increasingly fragile as climate change further disrupts earth’s weather patterns.

An ABC story headed; “Climate affect on crops worse than thought” explains that a warming of two degrees could seriously impact on crop yields by 2030.

A study published in the Nature Climate Change journal, of which the CSIRO’s Dr Mark Howden was one of the authors, says the climate extremes are happening faster than scientists had anticipated.
