Climate change - just an idea for another time and another place

“There’s a still too-prevalent idea in the United States that climate change is just a concept, an idea removed from us in time, distance or economic circumstance.”

A story in The Guardian makes this observation, reflecting what is happening around much of the world.

The story, headed: “Climate Change Takes A Village” tells readers how climate change is impacting on the remote Alaskan village of Shishmaref.

Climate change, the story says is, in the view of many Americans, something that might affect future generations or other nations.
