Consumptive message about climate change obviously hasn't filtered up

Escaping the clutches of climate change will not be easy and nor will be the breaking of our consumptive habits.

The need for us to break of energy-intensive habits is clear to many, but obviously that understanding has not filtered up to the makers of big decisions.

Climate change is changing conditions in Antarctica and now China wants to mine the area to feed, obviously the world’s insatiable appetite for goods.

It says: “New evidence has emerged of China's interest in exploiting Antarctica's minerals despite an international agreement preventing it.”
