orld-scale events, such as climate change, fall well outside the “pool of worries” of most people.

Most find that the relatively complex task of surviving another day in our market driven world – paying the mortgage, the school fees, rates, fuel, buying food and a mass of other things – leaves little room for thinking about seemingly irrelevant things such as the circulation of the world’s oceans.
